 Pickwick Landing State Park Located just south of Pickwick Dam, 12 miles south of Savannah, TN., in Hardin County. The lake and river offer excellent fishing, boating, swimming and a marina. Accommodations at the park include a modern Inn and Restaurant, cabins and camping. There is also a beautiful and challenging golf course. The park contains 1,400 acres of forested hills and hollows.

 Bloody Shiloh No soldier who took part in the two day's engagement at Shiloh ever spoiled for a fight again," recalled one Union veteran. "We wanted a square, stand-up fight [and] got all we wanted of it." Besides preserving the site of the bloody April 1862 battle in Tennessee, the park commemorates the subsequent siege, battle, and occupation of the key railroad junction at nearby Corinth, Mississippi.

 The Pickwick Landing State Park Golf Course The Pickwick Landing State Park Golf Course is located close to the border of Mississippi and Alabama within the proximity of Pickwick Dam. The course was opened in May 1973 and is a favorite of the locals as well as destination golfers. Every hole is tree-lined. Out of bounds guards 11 holes and there are a total of 21 bunkers found throughout the course. Hole #2, a tight dogleg right par 4,396 yards, is the signature Hole with out of bounds protecting the entire right side of the fairway.
